Capstone Final

My capstone presentation was awesome because absolutely no one but the judge came to my table so I had to just sit there and do nothing for four hours. The judge did seem to like my project but y'know, I didn't have to do anything so that was pretty okay. Honestly I'm just glad that, that pointless class is over and I can get on with classes that are actually important.

Capstone Blog Post 5

For my website I made sure that the frame was something that looked like a professional theatre site. I think that I did just that. My colors are Black, Red, and Gold which are very reminiscent of theatre. Those are colors that you tend to see in theatre's across the globe. The pictures I added are of my family and I. The play that I'm writing is based on pirates so I thought those were appropriate pictures. I'm hoping to later on write more in the way of the play on the website, but in order to do that I actually have to finish the play first.

Capstone Blog post 4

Well my efforts have been very interesting. This is not going to be the video that I'm going to use for the actual presentation. My final video will hopefully be me and a few friends acting out the play I wrote, well scenes from it. And if that won't work then I want to do a voice over type thing with pictures and the like. The video I did make was a working idea, and I might even use something similar. I'm still playing around with it, we'll see.

The software that I am mainly going to use is iMovie. I know how to use that one better than most out there, I'm quite comfortable with it. My idea is to basically piece together parts of my play that I'm writing for my capstone. I'm not going to act it out, but instead do a voice over of the most important parts. What I think needs to be showcased from the play.

Capstone Blog Post 2

My presentation with probably use a bit of both. I think there is a good balance between comedy and seriousness that I need to find in order to really portray what I really want to portray. Anything red or gold, possibly purple too. For theatre red's and golds are normally associated, though you can say purple is as well. Back during the time of Shakespear the king and queen would come and watch, and purple is a royal color. It's going to showcase what I want to tell in a very entertaining manor.

Capstone Blog Post 1

My goal of the project is to write a mini play about something that we were taught during elementary school. Such as abuse of any kind, or perhaps our bodies, or something of that nature. It's important because these things are quite important to us, they really are. They are things that we honestly do need to be taught and kids are not learning them. We are forced to go into the gym or some room and watch videos of people back in the eighties, it really was terribly. They fit my career objectives because I am going into Musical Theatre, it's important to me. If I can teach people through what I love then I might as well try. It gives back to society because it teaches kids in a fun and entertaining way, instead of sitting down and staring at a TV screen, the kids are entertained while watching a live performance.
